My entire career (search engine marketing strategist) is based around the functions and principles that Google has not only developed &#38; defined over the years, but also popularized and integrated into all areas of online interaction.

I mean, let's face it, sure there are other engines and several which have been doing it longer than Google (namely Yahoo!), but no one has popularized search and helped integrated it more into popular culture than Google has.

I mean we even find ourselves using their brand name as a verb at times!

So when I saw the post title I was shocked and a bit afraid to open the post - while at the same time compelled to do so! :)  good marketing tactic -heh

I agree that no SEOer/SEMer should not put all his/her 'eggs' in one basket - but God help us if this basket ever gets turned upside down!</description>
